Compact flame detector KLC 21

The KLC 21 broadband flame detector is a compact flame detector specially designed for blue-burning combustion systems in forced-air burner applications in the domestic sector.

  • Suitable for increased temperature range (-20°C to +75°C)
  • Compact design
  • Evaluates the flicker frequency under processor control
  • Interfering sources of extraneous light are faded out
  • Signal can be evaluated on PC via optical interface
  • Can be connected to all automatic burner control units with LDR or ionisation input

The KLC 21 broadband flame detector is a compact flame detector specially designed for blue-burning combustion systems in forced-air burner applications in the domestic sector. The patented evaluation of the signal takes place via the flicker frequency of the radiation of the upcoming flame. The device can be operated in an extended temperature range from -20°C to +75°C. A processor enables the evaluation and conversion of the flame signal to a digital signal in the value required for the flame signal amplifier of the corresponding automatic burner control system. Adjustments are not required during commissioning or maintenance.

The KLC 21 only evaluates the flickering of the flame to be monitored. A device version with interference frequency suppression is optionally available.

Uniform light beams and any constant frequencies do not lead to a permanent flame detection. Disturbing sources of extraneous light, e.g. from fluorescent tubes or low-frequency background radiation from glowing brickwork, are suppressed. Unintentional influences on the flame detection can thus be avoided.
Via the LED display as an optical interface, it is possible to read out various relevant operating parameters (e.g. monitoring of the flame signal, serial number).

Show what is happening

For the visualisation of the flame signals of the Flamonitec flame detectors we offer the suitable readout units. An excellent tool for any development department.

Perfect switching

The relay module flame detector converts the output signal of the flame detectors of the KLC series into a potential-free switching output.

Always the right connection

For the optimum connection of flame detectors to control boxes, we also offer customer-specific solutions in addition to our standard range.

Permanently mounted

Various fastening devices provide a tight fit on burner parts.

Looking around the corner

With the optionally available angle adapter, the radial alignment of the KLC 20 or KLC 21 to the flame axis is carried out by means of an optimally shaped mirror surface.

Quickly tested

For checking the KLC20/21 and KLC2002 series

It comes together what belongs together - Merger of the BST Solutions GmbH with BFI Automation Mindermann GmbH

    Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

Already in July 2021 BFI Automation Mindermann GmbH and BST Solutions GmbH have jointly created the brand name FLAMONITEC® in order to increase awareness especially outside Europe.

Hereby, we want to express our core competence in short form: Flame Monitoring Technology. And this in the entire bandwidth.

Since 2004, BST Solutions GmbH has been active in the field of flame monitoring for original equipment manufacturers of heating technology and industrial firing equipment. For this BST Solutions GmbH uses the experience and patents of BFI Automation Mindermann GmbH, which has been active in the field of flame monitoring for power plants, petrochemical plants and gas turbines since 1973.

These experiences have encouraged us to cooperate more closely also economically. On 31.05.2023 BFI Automation Mindermann GmbH has taken over all shares of BST Solutions GmbH retroactively to 01.01.2023.

Both companies merge to form BFI Automation Mindermann GmbH.

Through this merger, all business activities will be transferred to BFI Automation Mindermann GmbH with immediate effect. As part of this change, you can expect a seamless transition in our day-to-day business. Our dedicated team members will continue to serve you with the same level of professionalism, efficiency and attention to detail.

We are confident that this change will help us serve you even better and provide you with even greater value in the flame monitoring field.
